History: Today's Nippon Ham Fighters were founded as the Senators in 1946, and have operated under several names since then. From 1954 - 1972 they were known as the Toei Flyers and played in Komazawa Stadium before moving into Tokyo's Meiji Jingu Stadium (current home of the Yakult Swallows) in 1962. In 1964 they moved again, this time to Korakuen Stadium. In 1962 they won the Pacific League title and the Japan Series.

History: Minor league veteran Dave Roberts joined the Atoms in 1967 and quickly became one of Japan's premier sluggers. Roberts was replaced by Joe Pepitone in 1973. The team was named after the popular Japanese TV show Atom Boy, and this jersey sports the Atom Boy patch on the left sleeve. The Atoms were a part of the Japanese Central League.
